Shaving Creams

Shaving… definitely a part of the life of a man. Since the first hairs start to come out of our face we learn how to shave and use the array of products at our disposal.  Some people learn through experimentation, others have a guide (friend, father) who shares with them their particular shaving technique.

As we grow old we stick to some products, leaving aside other options that might work better for us.  Here we will take a look at shaving cream and the alternatives people use to get rid of facial hair with a razor.

Shaving Creams

This is my personal choice for shaving time.  Creams are often applied with a brush, though you can also use your fingers without problems.  The best shaving creams for men out there work not only providing better gliding but also providing extra protection to avoid nicks or cuts.

Alternatives to Shaving Creams

Soap- This is the method I started with.  Just grab your everyday soap, rub it in your hands with water until a lathe forms and apply it to your face. Soaps only serve to clean the skin, so you won’t get any protection with this method.  Some soaps can even lead to irritation.

Shaving soap-  Now this is a much better alternative! Shaving soaps cost more than common ones but they last a very long time.  The biggest advantage of shaving soaps is that they will clean your skin, help shaving and provide moisture afterwards.  They are a complete solution and an option worth exploring.

Shaving gels-  Gels are the perfect choice to shave your head or if you want to style your beard. You can see through them and leave less of a mess than other alternatives which need a lot of water.

Shaving foams-  Finally we have the foams.  You have seen them in supermarkets and perhaps used it many times.  These are basic products that give you protection for every day shaving.  Compared to good shaving creams, they lack quality.
